Community Goes Europe 6: Meet Ana Wende

Olá! Hallo! My name is Ana, I am 27 years old and I’m half-Portuguese, half-German.

I have completed my studies in “Gender and Diversity” and “Social Work”, and I aspire to become a community developer and scholar and delve into matters related to social inequalities, well-being and the multiple forms of discrimination that hinder social justice in all societies.

During my studies, I had the opportunity to be a youth leader in an Erasmus+ youth exchange and a student assistant in an international university. These experiences allowed me to interact with people from different cultures, learn and exchange knowledge and celebrate the enriching diversity that exists.

I came across the opportunity to work together with CGE – Culture Goes Europe Erfurt e.V. after deciding breaking with my routine. I see it as a great opportunity to work with and within civil society, where actions are most relevant and mean societal change, at various dimensions of social life.

I look forward to learning with CGE and their work with various communities, expand my knowledge and acquire new one and share it with others.

Ana is engaged in CGE within the Community Goes Europe 6 project. The project is funded under the European Solidarity Corps program of the European Union.
