Hands in Clay, Minds in Community.

On Friday, the Social Impulse Hub hosted a community building event using clay as the artistic tool for building connections in Erfurt, this event was coordinated by the Plurals, a youth group organized by international university students, bringing together young people, aspiring entrepreneurs, and community members for an afternoon of creativity. The workshop created a relaxed space where participants could slow down, work with their hands, and connect with others from the local community.

As participants shaped their clay pieces, conversations began to flow naturally around ideas, experiences, and future plans. The creative setting encouraged people to share perspectives and reflect on how collaboration, civic participation, and entrepreneurship can grow within supportive communities. The workshop became a small meeting point where people could connect beyond formal structures and discover common interests.

Throughout the afternoon, participants experimented with different shapes and techniques, helping each other and exchanging ideas while working. The atmosphere was open and welcoming, allowing everyone to participate regardless of their previous experience with clay. What started as a creative activity quickly turned into a lively space of dialogue, laughter, and new connections.

The event also served as an opportunity to invite participants to stay engaged with upcoming activities, including a Business Matchmaking Program that will connect entrepreneurs, innovators, and community actors, as well as an event focused on multiplying the knowledge gathered through a project focused on civic education in vet training.

The workshop showed how creative spaces can bring people together, strengthen local networks, and open conversations that inspire collaboration and new ideas within the community.
