When cities fit everyone, everyone fits in.
That’s the driving vision behind URB.ABLE, a two-year Erasmus+ cooperation partnership that CGE Erfurt is proud to be part of. The project brings together youth workers, young people, and local stakeholders to collectively reimagine urban spaces—making them more inclusive, accessible, and barrier-free for all.
Why URB.ABLE?
Urban environments often fail to meet the needs of people with physical and sensory disabilities. Inaccessible infrastructure, lack of inclusive design, and limited representation in decision-making processes create barriers to autonomy and social participation. URB.ABLE addresses this by empowering youth to become active agents of change in the regeneration of their cities.
Our Approach
Over the coming months, the partnership will implement a series of workshops, participatory actions, and co-creative events in different countries. These activities aim to:
Promote the inclusion of youth with disabilities
Build bridges between communities, designers, and decision-makers
Equip youth workers with inclusive tools and method
Raise awareness of accessibility challenges in cities
