On Saturday, 22 November, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the CGE at the OMA in Weimar. It was a very special moment for everyone, as we were able to get together and share our projects and memories from the past two decades. We are proud to have created an international community where everyone is welcome and can flourish.
We began gathering in the afternoon, then kicked off the anniversary with a few speeches from our board members and some project leaders. Dinner was served in a pleasant atmosphere. After, this emotional sequence, our volunteers who helped organized the event, took the floor to announce the program for the evening. They’ve prepared several activities like a ‘wall of fame’ with numerous photos of the various team members who have crossed paths with the organization over the years. They also organized a ‘vision tree’ where everyone could write down their goals, dreams and hopes for the next decade of CGE.
In addition, they organized an awards ceremony to celebrate the team members in a fun way. After the ceremony, the festivities began. An open mic was available for participants to sing, dance and enjoy the evening. The music played all night long before everyone said goodbye and promised to meet again in 10 years.
