TASK4ISI

Transnational Action to advance Skills and competences for Inclusive entrepreneurship and Social Innovation

The program gives practical insights and helps us in pre addressing the problems that can occur while building a startup which we never thought of and the workshops give us a clarity and vision about how we should think, react and act accordingly.

About the project

TASK4ISI is a transnational cooperation project that aims to strengthen inclusive entrepreneurship and social innovation across Europe by addressing the untapped potential of under-represented entrepreneurs, including women, migrants, young people, and individuals in self-employment. While inclusive entrepreneurship is a key driver of innovation, job creation, and economic growth, millions of potential entrepreneurs remain excluded. TASK4ISI responds to this challenge by combining local action with transnational learning to create long-term, sustainable policy and economic impact.

The project brings together 11 partner organisations and 6 associated partners working in a transnational network to support 200 aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs. Through the creation of local Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Hubs (ISI HUBs), the project strengthens skills, innovation capacities, and regional ecosystems while promoting social cohesion. These hubs are connected through a wider network of 108 members, enabling knowledge exchange, peer learning, and cooperation across regions.

TASK4ISI contributes to the evolution of Smart Specialisation Strategies by aligning smart growth with inclusive growth, moving toward a Smart Specialisation Strategy for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth (S4+). Partners jointly develop a framework of learning facilities and support services that are adapted to local contexts and piloted in five implementation regions through Business Skills and Business Match-Making programmes. Based on the pilot results, the project produces five Toolkits for Inclusive Entrepreneurship, along with a Joint Strategy Agenda and five Local Action Plan packages, supporting policymakers in embedding inclusive entrepreneurship within regional development strategies.

Over its 30-month duration, TASK4ISI strengthens regional competitiveness by improving entrepreneurial skills, delivering tailored services for social innovation, and enhancing policy learning capacities. The project concludes with evaluation, sustainability actions, and a final transnational meeting in Krakow, ensuring that results are ready to be scaled and embedded beyond the project’s lifetime.
