Participatory Performing Arts
Participatory Performative Arts as a Civic Activation Tool in Migration, Rural & Queer Spaces.
I think that's what... And the line that should be under the paper in relation to vocational schools is that the political education generally starts too late. So vocational school is actually, these are people who are 16 and they have the puberty behind them, they are shaped. That has to start in kindergarten. So it is very clear, in general, political education that is taught at schools is too late anyway.

About the project
PPA strengthens the capacity of youth workers and migrant-led youth organisations to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds using participatory performative arts as a civic activation tool in migration, rural and queer contexts. By combining theater, co-creation workshops, and public performances, the project equips youth workers with innovative methods and skills to help young people express their stories, build confidence, and participate actively in their communities. Across six partner contexts, PPA implements two international training sessions (Germany, February 2025; Lithuania, October 2025), a youth exchange in Ceuta (March 2026), and local co-creation programs, while fostering alliances and mapping initiatives in each region. The project also focuses on dissemination, impact assessment and sustainability, culminating in multiplier events, ensuring that the participatory arts approach can continue to inspire civic engagement and social inclusion beyond the project timeline.
