On the past 12th and 13th of September our partners in Cyprus, Emphasys Centre, hosted the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ Youth project DICIPASS4YOUTH (Digital Citizenship for Youth Empowerment). We at CGE participated along with four other partners: University of Pieraus (Greece), Global Citizens’ Academy (Lithuania), CCS Digital Education Limited (Ireland) and Open Europe (Spain).
The meeting allowed all the participants to explore the new potentials created for teaching and learning using the Oculus Rift S, 3D Modelling and 3D Printing. It was also a great opportunity to define some goals and tasks for the future, including the development of surveys (for youth workers and young people) in order to reach a wider public, website and dissemination content and other important tools.
The project aims to promote digital citizenship among teenagers thus empowering their ability to engage positively, critically and competently in the digital environment, drawing on the skills of effective communication, to practice forms of social participation that are respectful of human rights and dignity through the responsible use of technology. Partner organizations are eager to start working on the project looking initially to identify the views, needs and challenges faced by young people in the 5 countries in their participation on-line and through new technologies.
