On Wednesday, March 31st, CGE team met with Inés Alberico, President of the Brandt School Student Government, and Molly Hall, StuRa Representative of the Brandt School Student Government.
The visit took place in the CGE office, at Salinenstr. 34, in the cultural headquarter Saline34. The discussion circled around possible ways for engaging the students of the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in local, regional and international activities, such as Erasmus+ training courses and capacity building programmes of the European Commission. Networking, internships and professional study visits were also on the table for the Student Government to consider.
CGE additionally outlined an opportunity for scientific research inside the Horizon Europe project, which piqued interest of the guests.
We are looking forward to fruitful partnership and further collaboration.
The Willy Brandt School of Public Policy is Germany’s oldest public policy school, which is situated within the University of Erfurt. Created in 2002 as part of the Faculty of Legal, Social and Economic Sciences and turned into an independent research institution in 2008, the School has operated since as an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented and international institute of higher education that has been preparing students for the demands and challenges of today’s complex political world.
The Brandt School Student Government serves as the main channel of communication between the Brandt School faculty and staff and its students.
CGE Erfurt e.V. has long-standing relations to the Willy Brandt School Of Public Policy (WBS), as not only do alumni of the school head and manage projects in the organisation, but we see the WBS an important stakeholder in local activities and engaging the international community in Erfurt.
