On March 29th, something truly special happened in the heart of Erfurt. In front of the Hotel Lindeneck, in a cozy green space, neighbors, friends, and food lovers gathered for an international brunch titled “Die kulinarische Weltreise” – a culinary journey worldwide.
The idea was simple but beautiful: everyone was welcome to bring a dish from their culture or country, and together we created a vibrant buffet filled with flavors from across the globe. Spanish tortilla, Italian bruschetta, Polish pierogi, classic German Kartoffelsalat, sweet Portuguese brigadeiros – and that was just the beginning! Salads, soups, sweets, and drinks filled the tables, making sure there was something delicious for everyone.
The event was made possible thanks to the collaboration between CGE’s team and the local community. Many neighbors prepared and brought their homemade specialties, sharing not just food but also their stories, traditions, and smiles. It was heartwarming to see people connect over plates and conversations, strengthening community bonds most deliciously.
Under the gentle spring sun, we enjoyed not only an amazing variety of dishes but also the joy of simply being together. People of all ages came by – chatting, laughing, learning about different cuisines, and forming new friendships. The atmosphere was open, relaxed, and filled with warmth.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed – whether by cooking, setting up, or simply showing up with an open heart and empty stomach. You helped make “Die kulinarische Weltreise” a beautiful, shared experience. Let’s keep this spirit going and look forward to more moments of togetherness and taste.
