Code and Youth ME – Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften in Weimar

On November 17th CGE team packed a box of electronic devices and rushed to join famous “Long Night of Sciences” – a theme for events dedicated to promote science and scientific research.

Besides common presentation of the organisational work, achievements and intellectual outputs of the Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships project CODE&YOUTH – An innovative programme in Digital Era (2016-2-CY02-KA205-000819), we attracted visitors with our outstanding Workshop on Robotics with Meet Edison 🤖. A dozen of cute orange fellows from our Summer Coding School were occupied by little developers and scientific researchers. Children and their parents were learning about the functionality of the robots, their working environment and interface. Many got interested to take part in the next coding lessons or summer schools. Overall, a tremendous dissemination of the Code@Youth project results took place, which in return raised the question of qualitative computer science education in schools and higher educational institutions. It’s high time we bring it to another level with our innovative program through massive open online courses on codeandyouth.iit.demokritos.gr. Join us and become Code@Youth Ambassador! 😉

Special thanks for the help in organising ME goes to Sebastian, Frederico, Sonya and Maria! ❤️
