On 2nd June 2026, representatives of CGE Erfurt participated in a local exchange and networking event focused on social innovation, participation, and intercultural collaboration. Dr. Ammalia Podlaszewska and Guadalupe Farah attended the event on behalf of CGE Erfurt, where they were invited to present the project NEW INHERIT. This project, funded by the Creative Europe Program, served as the only project from Thuringia approved for funding over the past seven years.

As part of the programme, Dr. Ammalia Podlaszewska delivered a presentation introducing the objectives and vision of NEW INHERIT, highlighting its focus on participation, cultural heritage, and community engagement. The presentation explored how the project encourages collaborative approaches to social and cultural innovation while creating opportunities for dialogue, creativity, and active involvement among diverse groups and communities.
The invitation provided an important opportunity to showcase the work being developed in Thuringia within a broader European context. Participants and partner organizations exchanged experiences and reflected on the role of local and international cooperation in strengthening local initiatives, promoting inclusion, and building sustainable networks across borders.

Throughout the event, discussions focused on how collaborative projects can support intercultural understanding, empower communities, and create meaningful opportunities for participation among young people and underrepresented groups. The exchange also emphasized the value of combining local perspectives with international collaboration in order to develop more inclusive and impactful initiatives.
The event served as a valuable platform for networking, visibility, and knowledge exchange, reinforcing the importance of transnational partnerships in advancing innovation, participation, and community-driven development across Europe.
