To all those who exist in the universe, greetings. I’m Anush and that is the message in Armenian that the Voyager spacecraft carries. You can see from my photo how passionate I can get when I talk about something I care about. I, as you might have guessed, come from Armenia. My background is in Mathematics, but I got carried away with social studies and have been working in civil society for the last six years.
Before starting my volunteering year, I had worked in China as a teacher, worked online as a teacher, and worked in Armenia as a Project Coordinator. I travelled around, learned through work and beyond, and simply experienced life from different angles. I ended up in this field because of my strong sense of justice and curiosity. I want to make the world a better place to the extent that I can contribute, since doing our part is what each of us should strive for.
I wanted to join CGE to learn from the organisation’s rich experience in non-formal education and its work with people from different backgrounds. I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to helping others expand their horizons and develop skills that could help them in life. I value having a goal to strive towards and a character that is built over the years and through contact with different people. And with another message from Voyager, this time in Indonesian: Good night, ladies and gentlemen. Goodbye and see you next time.
