On June 12th, 2018 our European volunteer Ondrej Holan together with Marina Bykova attended “Wege ins Ausland für Jugendliche 2019” event in the Europäisches Informations-Zentrum (EIZ).
The event was organised for young people to show what opportunities they have to travel abroad and gain new experiences. That included volunteering projects, for example, through European Volunteering/European Solidarity Corps, internships in other countries, summer camps and Au Pair services. Ondrej was invited by another EVS volunteer, Merve Önem, who was the master mind behind the whole event, to talk exactly about the volunteering with Culture Goes Europe supported by the Erasmus+ program.
One of the advantages of volunteering program of Erasmus+ is the opportunity to develop own projects or activities. Ondrej, who came to CGE after studying multimedia, used his free time to create a video about his EVS experience. The visitors of “Wege ins Ausland” unaware of the chance they were given witnessed the first ever premier of the Ondrej’s video.
Later, in his presenttaion, he explained how he contributed to CGE and how CGE contributed to him as well. He mentioned all the activities that CGE is currently organising from Movie Nights, Card Game Nights, Hiking and Skiing Trips to international youth exchanges, training courses and European Voluntary Service projects, such as “Community Goes Europe”. He also promoted his own local events called SprachBar. After all the speakers were finished there was a “Kontaktbörse” where CGE had its stand.
