Last week, on Friday 19th October 2018, our Greek Fellow Mariana Anthropelou and the CGE Team participated at the START! Regional Meeting organised by the Bundesvereinigung Soziokultureller Zentren e.V. and the START! Create Cultural Change Programme, hosted by the Other Music Academy (OMA) in Weimar.
The purpose of the meeting was to get the chance to get to know another socio-cultural centre and to meet again with Co-Fellows from other regions of Germany. Our fellow had a chance to participate at a peer-to-peer-consulting to see what current challenges she is facing and how to tackle them easily. And, of course, the START! Team was there to answer all questions that occurred during the last weeks, with projects of each fellow and project plans for the next phase of START programme.
The event also gave a change to explore the Other Music Academy, get to know their social-cultural centre, learn about their history and what activities they are working on. It was an opportunity to exchange interesting ideas and possible cooperation in the future, and a chance to tell more about CGE’s activities planned for this year, with possible visits anticipated in coming months.
As part of the programme, our fellow Mariana Anthropelou is planning to organize the second part of her project in Erfurt on 3rd November 2018 at the Community Centre in Herrenberg.
