We are inviting you to apply for our upcoming project “Show me a Future II: Dare 2 Dream!” and its youth exchanges.
A project is made in cooperation between Culture goes Europe (CGE): Soziokulturelle Initiative Erfurt e.V. (Germany), Associazione Culturale Strauss – Arcistrauss (Italy), United Societies of Balkans (Greece) , Asociatia Tinerilor cu Initiativa Civica – ATIC (Romania) and Mtü EstYES (Estonia).
This project will be realized through three activities:
Project Description:
This project was born out of many of the dominant public narratives in the early 21st century, and the impact they have had on perceptions of the future of and in Europe. The intention is to make steps towards both imagining and even creating a brighter future.
Through three youth exchanges, it is our aim to create and strengthen a new way of thinking with the ability to answer questions about the future and nourish hope instead of hatred by teaching media competences and the competence of critical but still solution-oriented thinking.
The first Youth Exchange will focus on the role and impact of modern media and popular culture in European societies today. We will as well discuss questions of how the narratives influence our ideas of the future of Europe and whether changes in those narratives are needed. This will happen by interactive discussions and recreating famous movie scenes.
The second Youth Exchange in Thessaloniki will deal with the history of Europe and how the European Spirit and Identity has evolved, while the third one will come back to Mühlhausen and focus on how we want the world of tomorrow to look like and how we want the government, economy and society of the year 2050 to work.

The accommodation and travel expenses for the Youth Exchange are reimbursed. The participation fee is 25 Euro.
