The BOLSTER project (Bridging Organizations and marginalized communities for Local Sustainability Transitions in EuRope) is ready to have its Kick-off (KO) Meeting that will be held between the 7th and the 9th of September in Tilburg, Netherlands, at the facilities of the project coordinator, the Tilburg University.
The overall aim of this project is to understand how marginalized communities are affected by European Green Deal (EGD)-related policies and to see whether involving them in decision-making processes increases the support for transition plans. To achieve this goal, BOLSTER will use novel qualitative research methods with participatory approaches to improve the understanding of the experiences and needs of marginalized communities.
The project is therefore structured in 7 Work Packages (WP) whose activities, action plans and initial steps will be further presented and discussed by each WP leader at the KO meeting. During this occasion, partners will set the basis for a common understanding of key definitions and research ideas that will guide the implementation of the project throughout its duration. There will also be room for brainstorming and for some interactive activities that will contribute to perfect the BOLSTER project not only in terms of its activities but also of partners’ cooperation and collaboration.
Therefore, the KO meeting will be an opportunity for partners to meet, connect and interact with each other, not only throughout the sessions but also during the activities planned by the consortium leader. Consortium dinners will be the setting for the presentation of the 10 regions that BOLSTER will research (7 target regions and 3 study regions) and of games based on pre-filled quizzes with light and funny questions to break the ice, bring the partners closer and alow them to know each other better.
Further information, including video testimonials and a short report of the meeting, will be provided and made available on BOLSTER’s partners communication channels. Stay tuned!
