On Tuesday, 12 May 2026, the Social Impulse Hub hosted the sixth and final event of the Business Matchmaking Programme (TASK4ISI). Held at Nerly Café in Erfurt, the event brought together around 40 participants interested in networking, creating synergies, and learning more about each other’s entrepreneurial ideas. The session was led by Norhan Othman from StartUp Migrants and focused on team building, collaboration, and finding suitable partners and team members for entrepreneurial projects.
To encourage interaction and exchange contacts, the event began with an informal networking session during which participants introduced themselves and shared their business ideas. Following a brief presentation about the partner organizations involved — CGE, Plattform, and StartUp Migrants — participants attended an insightful presentation on the key differences between a pitch deck and a business plan. This helped participants understand the importance of presenting both themselves and their entrepreneurial ideas in a clear, concise, and compelling way, especially during the early stages of a startup. Using a word cloud activity, the session also explored distinctions between concepts such as acceleration programmes and accelerators, as well as funds and grants. In addition, participants received clarifications on incubation programmes and the role of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Since many participants in the TASK4ISI programme are migrant students in Thuringia, the session provided a general overview of the legal frameworks, institutional procedures, and practical conditions required to launch a startup in Germany. Successful entrepreneurial examples were also presented, not only to inspire participants but also to highlight valuable lessons learned from challenges and mistakes.

The main objective of the event was to create a space where aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs could connect their business ideas with others and identify potential partners or team members. Building on the inspiration generated throughout the session, participants had another opportunity to network, continue brainstorming, explore possible collaborations, and exchange contacts.
The final part of the event focused on the structure of agreements involved in founding a startup team. During this segment, Norhan Othman highlighted potential financial and organizational challenges entrepreneurs may face, including financing opportunities, the distribution of shares among team members, and important considerations before launching a product or service. Additional topics included accelerators, vesting agreements, equal splits, shares, and equity management.
The event concluded with an open discussion session in which participants shared their ideas, voiced concerns, and discussed areas requiring further clarification and strategic direction. Norhan Othman’s expertise provided participants with valuable and constructive feedback to support the next steps in their entrepreneurial journeys.
The project has been co-funded under the Interreg Central Europe program of the European Union through the project “TASK4ISI” – Transnational Action to advance Skills and competences FOR Inclusive entrepreneurship and Social Innovation.
