Do you have any plans this weekend? CGE would love to invite you to the Participatory Performative Arts multiplier event in Weimar, next Saturday, 22nd of August, from 3–5 pm.
We’ll meet at August-Fröhlich-Platz in Weimar, where our trainers Nataliia and Lolo will lead an exciting session where theatre, activism, and creative performance meet and mix. If you belong on stage, or you’re looking to step out of your comfort zone, fill in the form here and join us!
The event takes place within the Fröhlich Festival and marks the closing of the two-year PPA project, which aimed to strengthen the capacity of youth workers and migrant-led youth organisations to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds. Participatory performative arts were used as a tool for civic activation in migration, rural, and queer contexts. The project combined theatre, co-creation workshops, and public performances. Together, these methods equipped youth workers with innovative tools to help young people express their stories, build confidence, and take an active role in their communities.
On Saturday we will look back on the journey, reflecting on the milestones, the takeaways and the communities involved.
You can find the full project overview here.
