Culture Goes Europe (CGE) is looking for two Junior Trainers to support the training team of the YOUTH SAIL – Kyrgyzstan Summer Camp, which will take place from 12 to 20 August 2026 at ololoAkJol, village Kosh-Kol, Issyk-Kul district, Kyrgyz Republic.
The call is open to graduates of the YOUTH SAIL Uzbekistan project with a strong interest incontributing to the further development of the emerging Trainers’ Guild of Uzbekistan.
Background
Culture Goes Europe (CGE) – Soziokulturelle Initiative Erfurt e.V. is implementing the project YOUTH SAIL: Supporting civil society at promoting human rights and democracy in regions of Kyrgyz Republic, together with partner organisations in Kyrgyzstan.
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of young people and civil society organisations to promote human rights, democratic participation, gender equality, environmental rights, critical thinking and civic engagement. One of the key activities of the project is the Youth Sail Kyrgyzstan Summer Camp, which will bring together young participants for an intensive non-formal education programme focused on human rights education and youth participation.
The summer camp will be implemented by a team of senior trainers with the support of two junior trainers. The junior trainers will contribute to the quality of the learning process, support participants during practical work and reflection, and serve as peer role models for young people in Kyrgyzstan.
Purpose of the Assignment
CGE is looking for two junior trainers to support the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the Youth Sail Kyrgyzstan Summer Camp.
The junior trainers will work under the guidance of the senior trainers and the project team. Their role is to support the educational process, assist participants during group work and practical tasks, contribute to reflection and documentation, and help create a safe, inclusive and participatory learning environment.
This assignment is also designed as a professional development opportunity for graduates of the YOUTH SAIL Uzbekistan project and as a stimulus for the further development of the emerging and consolidating network of the Trainers’ Guild of Uzbekistan. It will allow selected junior trainers to gain practical international facilitation experience and to demonstrate to Kyrgyz participants how Youth Sail graduates can continue their journey as trainers, facilitators and human rights education multipliers.
– Why Junior Trainers Are Needed –
🙌🏽 Support for the senior training team
The summer camp will involve a large group of participants and will use participatory non-formal education methods. Additional facilitation support is needed during group work, reflection groups, session planning, energisers, practical exercises and informal learning moments.
📑 Professional development of new trainers
The Youth Sail methodology is based on peer-to-peer learning, learning by doing and the development of a sustainable community of human rights education trainers. Engaging junior trainers from the YOUTH SAIL Uzbekistan alumni network and the emerging informal network of the Trainers’ Guild of Uzbekistan provides young trainers with a concrete opportunity to continue their professional development in an international human rights education setting.
🗣️ Role-model effect for Kyrgyz participants
The selected junior trainers will be graduates of YOUTH SAIL Uzbekistan. Their participation will show Kyrgyz participants a concrete example of a possible professional pathway after completing the Youth Sail programme: from participant to trainer, facilitator and member of a wider regional trainers’ community.
💫 Contribution to the further development of the consolidating Trainers’ Guild of Uzbekistan
During YOUTH SAIL Uzbekistan, an informal Trainers’ Guild initiative was launched as a first step towards building a community of young human rights education trainers. The experience of supporting the summer camp in Kyrgyzstan will allow selected junior trainers to gain practical experience, collect lessons learned and bring these insights back to the emerging trainers’ community in Uzbekistan. This will help strengthen the informal Guild initiative and support its future development.

The residential camp will take place from 12 to 20 August 2026.
The full assignment also includes:
