The issue of global climate change is perceived as something that affects the whole planet, but is quite often overlooked when it comes to its impact on a particular area. This can make us underestimate the specific effects that it has on our city, region, and hence - lead to believe that it is something that happens far away and that input of every single person and community efforts won't influence anything. We wanted to bring more attention to it.

In the context of "growth of urban activism in small Russian cities through P2P learning" the "Stadt im Dialog 3" project just had its second activity carried out: a visit to some of Germany's best examples on community-based initiatives tackling urban improvement. As is the good custom between friends and colleagues, some things are best discussed in person. Thus, the project consortium of the Europe for Citizens – Remembrance project “Staring at Goats – Propaganda, Scapegoating and the Other 1918-2018” met last week in historic Weimar to share their visions and ideas how to best plan, frame and implement the project’s 13 events and campaign in the five partner countries. On the 1st June 2018, during the ‘‘Sustainable Month‘‘, CGE Erfurt e.V. was taking part as the organizer and facilitator of a panel discussion consisting of local experts on the topic of sustainable community and grassroots initiative.
